The Pan-Asia Risk Reduction (PARR) Fellowship Program offers unique research, training and educational opportunities to Asian researchers, practitioners, and policy makers to enhance their capabilities for advancing and applying knowledge on critical issues of global environmental change and risk reduction in the Asia- Pacific. The Program establishes knowledge to action network of people and institutions capable of developing and implementing innovative approaches to planning and action at local, national, and regional levels.

The 29th Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) was held on 11-24 November 2024 in Baku, Azerbaijan bringing together leaders of states and/or their representatives from about 200 countries. The outcome of the conference was a new finance goal “to help countries to protect their people and economies against climate disasters and share in the vast benefits of the clean energy boom”.
