IRDR’s Executive Director Chosen to be on the Scientific and Technical Advisory Board of the 4th International Disaster and Risk Conference IDRC Davos 2012

IRDR’s Executive Director Dr. Jane E. Rovins was invited to become a member of the Scientific and Technical Committee of the 4th International Disaster and Risk Conference IDRC Davos 2012.

Over 1000 participants from more than 100 countries will gather at the world’s leading Disaster and Risk Conference in  Davos, Switzerland.

The conference will address the Integrative Risk Management Approach within the following context of selected risk areas, important cross-cutting themes and instruments for applicable solutions:

Mega Catastrophes / Cascading Effects – Country Risks Management  – Environmental / Ecological Risks – Technological Risks – Urban Risks/ Mega Cities – Health Risks and Medical Responses.
