World Data System's First Executive Director Appointed

IRDR would like to congratulate Dr Mustapha Mokrane for being appointed as the first Executive Director of the the World Data System (WDS).

Dr Mustapha Mokrane, currently Science and Information Technology officer at ICSU’s secretariat in Paris,  will take up his appointment in early March 2012.

The HIPs provide a comprehensive, science-based overview of 281 hazards, from floods and wildfires to pandemics and cyber threats, serving as an essential resource for disaster risk reduction worldwide.
IRDR Advances Heritage Resilience at ASEAN Sustainable Urbanization Forum 2025
