IRDR ICoE-RCS Presents Lecture Series

The IRDR International Centre of Excellence in Resilient Communities and Settlements (IRDR ICoE), hosted by the Department of Architecture and Planning at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, India, is pleased to invite you to its two-part lecture series. The speaker for both lectures is Dr. Dr. Ranit Chatterjee, Co-Founder of RIKA India and architect and disaster management professional.

 

Lecture 1: “Integrating Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction: A Multidimensional Perspective”

· Date: 19th November 2025  

· Time: 9:00 am IST onwards  

· Venue: Seminar Hall, First Floor, Department of Architecture and Planning, VNIT Nagpur  

 

Lecture 2: “Advances in Science & Technology for Disaster Risk Reduction”

· Date: 20th November 2025  

· Time: 4:00 pm IST onwards  

· Venue: Senate Hall, First Floor, Main Administration Building, VNIT Nagpur

 

This series aims to foster dialogue on interdisciplinary strategies for building resilience through integrated adaptation, risk reduction, and technological innovation. The lecture series is open to researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and students. In-person attendance is encouraged.
