Call for Risk KAN Steering Committee Members
11 November 2021

The Knowledge-Action Network (KAN) on Emergent Risks and Extreme Events (Risk KAN) provides an open platform for scientific communities, policy-makers, educators, civil society, media, industry, and donors, from across science disciplines and engineering, working on extreme events, disaster risk reduction and governance to exchange information, knowledge and data and engage in collaborative research activities. It is a joint initiative of the Future Earth, IRDR, WCRP and WWRP programmes to address systemic, complex and cascading risks by synthesis of various scientific approaches and products. You can find out more about us on our webpage (https://www.risk-kan.org/) or on our twitter account (@kan_risk).
The first Risk KAN Development Team was formed in 2019 and in its second phase it is growing into a Steering Committee, composed of up to 22 volunteer members, representing different regions, disciplines and sectors of the Risk KAN’s mission. We are looking for new members to expand our current membership.
Submit your application to further shape the Knowledge Action Network on Emergent Risks and Extreme Events (Risk KAN) Steering Committee by 26 November, 2021 via our webpage!
