Dr. Saini Yang addressed the 2025 IFEMR in Beijing, themed "Emergency Medicine: AI-Enabled Future". She emphasized integrating disaster risk reduction with planetary health, showcasing IRDR's work in Health-EDRM and collaboration with global partners to advance risk governance.

On 6 December 2025, IRDR participated in the Young Scientists Tengchong Roundtable themed "AI for Regional Sustainability". IRDR representatives showcased AI applications for disaster risk reduction and highlighted opportunities within the IRDR Young Scientists Programme to the attendees.

On Dec 2, 2025, IRDR held its Young Scientists Online Meeting with 6 YSP batches. Prof Saini Yang spoke; alumni shared experiences. It launched the 2026-onward YSP Action Plan, and participants discussed implementation and youth research in post-2030 global DRR.
