Dr. Nuraini Rahma Hanifa, S.T., M.T.

Dr. Nuraini Rahma Hanifa works with the Research Center for Geological Disaster, Research Organization of Earth Sciences and Maritime, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), currently hold position as research group coordinatior of Geohazard Risk and Resilience. She graduated from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) Indonesia, and receive Doctor of Science from Nagoya University, Japan. She conducts several interdisciplinary research on Geodesy Geomatic and Disaster Risk Reduction, learning practice of science – policy - action nexus. Rahma is engage is several consorsium and organizations such as the Indonesia’s National Center for Earthquake Study (PuSGeN), member of the Indonesia Academi of Sciences (ALMI), and Housner Fellow of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI), US. Rahma founded U-INSPIRE Alliance - a youth and young professional platform on Science, Engineering, Technology and Innovation for disaster and climate resilience currently in 14 country chapters. She is the awardee of the UNDRR’s Women International Network DRR Leadership Award 2021, and young scientist representative in the Asia Pacific Science, Technology and Academia Advisory Group (AP-STAG) of UNDRR. She is recently appointed as one of the IRDR Scientific Committee Members.
